That's my Dan!
A true story from
-Ashna Anne Philip
That night he was here, that man who knew and understood me and yeah – loved me for who exactly I am ..Holding me tight , afraid that there was someone out in the dark waiting to take me away from him .. his lips were steady as he said "baby .. no matter what, I am always there for you , you know that?"
"uh-uh" I replied confused. "And do you know that I have loved you so much more than what you’d ever imagined love is, and that it can neither be measured nor weighed?"
"yes – I do know"
I looked into his eyes, his eyes never leaving mine .. I knew there was something he wanted me know .. just my ears he did not want it to travel from my nerves to brain and ask him cross-questions .. I wanted to say him it was all right .. and whatever was his problem we both could conquer it down .. but I decided that I would never dodge him to say it to me .. I wanted him-self to say it to me - at least when he thought he could trust me on it .
His eyes were weary and tired .. I felt that nothing of him was the same .. although he was the same old Dan .. there was something missing in him ---- the way he touched me said it all , every day after the day’s work he’d come on in and sit on the couch , removing his formal shirt and flexing his muscles he’d say ..
"Ash ..I need a women like oxygen" saying this he’d fall on me and kiss me.. the type of kiss that could heal pain away and turn sorrow into joy . He was all but everything an ideal women would have ever dreamed off ..and I've always considered myself lucky for having seen the best laugh in the world .
Today was another day and holding me tight was another Dan , at least not the man I've loved for years.
I waited patiently for his lips to activate and at last he blurted out partially dropping tears and said something I’d never wanted to hear from his lips , he asked for a BREAK UP . I swallowed some oxygen and asked "A what Dan?" hoping that he’d never said that.
"Oh please Ash don’t make me say that again .. I know you have heard me and that’s all I want for the moment " he said facing down, I felt that I were shot right through my chest .. The word he said pierced into my heart making a hole visible inside my mind. I felt the world’s one complete revolution taking place in that moment . I wanted him to say that he was just lying about It, instead looking elsewhere he said "I’d found my dream girl .. she is beautiful , she loves me and I love her .. Sorry Ash , but am totally into her." His voice was shaky and I were totally numb the blood flow inside my body had stopped, I didn't feel anything because I had lost my feelings .. my senses, right then I were a something that could breathe but had no emotions .. no life . I lifted my hands and kept’em on his cheeks .. it was cold , and I said, "Tell me you don’t mean it Dan , I know this ain't you .. not the one I've loved , please kiss and tell me that everything before five seconds was just an illusion" .. he shut his lashes down and began to cry , he pressed his lips on not wanting to cry more .
"please" I said "I’d go out of your life but please don’t cry , I can never withstand that." He looked at me, tears swelling in his eyes .. I said , "Although you can lie to me now , I know that you can and will always love me , or let me take it that way .. and my house is just few lanes from yours , the door wouldn't close at your face .. It is always open , just wanted you to remember that" not wanting to see his tears , I walked straight to my car and went home.
six months later , after my final semester I’d got this letter from Dan ,
To mine in Earth ,
Dear Ashlyn .. Hope you ain't mad at me , although I am mad at no one but myself. Do you remember that I had loved you before? well I just wanted you to know that I still love you and that I would continue the same love in future too .. That day was nothing but a play in which we both had played the main roles .. I had to lie to you because I wanted you to forget me , because my live days could only be predicted by god .. it was in the hands of my doctors,. in glucose and hospital beds I lived .. my hair has been shaved off .. my muscles have all died inside myself .. my blood has been infected with various macromolecules that cuts down by bodily systems .. I've lost my weight .. my attitude and everything through which anyone could judge me from the outside .. but there is one thing that grew the entire time .. one thing the virus couldn't take away from me .. one thing I pleaded not to be taken from me .. my love for you , that is the only thing that grew even through my chemo and radiation sections. Now I just wanted you to know that you have been the perfect girl of my dreams, the one that had given me the colors of my life when the entire world was dark .. whenever you do feel lonely shut your lashes down and I’d be there in front of you .. holding you tight like your guardian angel .. till you find your perfect man .. There is nothing to worry because time heals pain and you’ll surely get on with your life .
P.S I will always love you , till the last breath of this universe.
From yours in heaven.

Love Story must read it?
There was once a guy who suffered from cancer... a cancer that can't be treated. He was 18 years old and he could die anytime. All his life, he was stuck in his house being taken cared by his mother. He never went outside but he was sick of staying home and wanted to go out for once.
So he asked his mother and she gave him permission. He walked down his block and found a lot of stores. He passed a CD store and looked through the front door for a second as he walked. He stopped and went back to look into the store. He saw a young girl about his age and he knew it was love at first sight. He opened the door and walked in, not looking at anything else but her. He walked closer and closer until he was finally at the front desk where she sat.
She looked up and asked Can I help you She smiled and he thought it was the most beautiful smile he has ever seen before and wanted to kiss her right there.
He said Uh... Yeah... Umm... I would like to buy a CD. He picked one out and gave her money for it.
Would you like me to wrap it for you she asked, smiling her cute smile again.
He nodded and she went to the back.
She came back with the wrapped CD and gave it to him. He took it and walked out of the store. He went home and from then on, he went to that store everyday and bought a CD, and she wrapped it for him. He took the CD home and put it in his closet. He was still too shy to ask her out and he really wanted to but he couldn't. His mother found out about this and told him to just ask her.
So the next day, he took all his courage and went to the store. He bought a CD like he did everyday and once again she went to the back of the store and came back with it wrapped. He took it and when she wasn't looking, he left his phone number on the desk and ran out...
!!!RRRRRING!!!
The mother picked up the phone and said, Hello
It was the girl!!! She asked for the boy and the mother started to cry and said, You don't know He passed away yesterday...
The line was quiet except for the cries of the boy's mother.
Later in the day. the mother went into the boy's room because she wanted to remember him. She thought she would start by looking at his clothes. So she opened the closet. She was face to face with piles and piles and piles of unopened CDs. She was surprised to find all those CDs and she picked one up and sat down on the bed and she started to open one.
Inside, there was a CD and as she took it out of the wrapper, out fell a piece of paper. The mother picked it up and started to read it.
It said Hi... I think U R really cute. Do u wanna go out with me Love, Jacelyn
The mother opened another CD...
Again there was a piece of paper. It said Hi... I think U R really cute. Do u wanna go out with me Love, Jacelyn
Love is... when you've had a huge fight but then decide to put aside your egos, hold hands and say, I Love You.

LETTER IN THE WALLET - AN AMAZING LOVE STORY
A Man' search for the writer of a 60 year old message leads him on an extraordinary journey
As I walked home one freezing day, I stumbled on a wallet someone had lost in the street. I picked it up and looked inside to find some identification so I could call the owner. But the wallet contained only three dollars and a crumpled letter that looked as if it had been in there for years. The envelope was worn and the only thing that was legible on it was the return address. I started to open the letter, hoping to find some clue. Then I saw the dateline — 1924. The letter had been written almost sixty years ago.
It was written in a beautiful feminine handwriting on powder blue stationery with a little flower in the left-hand corner. It was a "Dear John" letter that told the recipient, whose name appeared to be Michael, that the writer could not see him any more because her mother forbade it. Even so, she wrote that she would always love him. It was signed, Hannah.
It was a beautiful letter, but there was no way except for the name Michael, that the owner could be identified. Maybe if I called information, the operator could find a phone listing for the address on the envelope. "Operator," I began, "this is an unusual request. I'm trying to find the owner of a wallet that I found. Is there anyway you can tell me if there is a phone number for an address that was on an envelope in the wallet?" She suggested I speak with her supervisor, who hesitated for a moment then said, "Well, there is a phone listing at that address, but I can't give you the number." She said, as a courtesy, she would call that number, explain my story and would ask them if they wanted her to connect me. I waited a few minutes and then she was back on the line. "I have a party who will speak with you." I asked the woman on the other end of the line if she knew anyone by the name of Hannah. She gasped, "Oh! We bought this house from a family who had a daughter named Hannah. But that was 30 years ago!"
"Would you know where that family could be located now?" I asked. "I remember that Hannah had to place her mother in a nursing home some years ago," the woman said. "Maybe if you got in touch with them they might be able to track down the daughter." She gave me the name of the nursing home and I called the number. They told me the old lady had passed away some years ago but they did have a phone number for where they thought the daughter might be living. I thanked them and phoned. The woman who answered explained that Hannah herself was now living in a nursing home.
This whole thing was stupid, I thought to myself. Why was I making such a big deal over finding the owner of a wallet that had only three dollars and a letter that was almost 60 years old? Nevertheless, I called the nursing home in which Hannah was supposed to be living and the man who answered the phone told me, "Yes, Hannah is staying with us." Even though it was already 10 p.m., I asked if I could come by to see her. "Well," he said hesitatingly, "if you want to take a chance, she might be in the day room watching television." I thanked him and drove over to the nursing home. The night nurse and a guard greeted me at the door. We went up to the third floor of the large building. In the day room, the nurse introduced me to Hannah.
She was a sweet, silver-haired old timer with a warm smile and a twinkle in her eye. I told her about finding the wallet and showed her the letter. The second she saw the powder blue envelope with that little flower on the left, she took a deep breath and said, "Young man, this letter was the last contact I ever had with Michael." She looked away for a moment deep in thought and then said Softly, "I loved him very much. But I was only 16 at the time and my mother felt I was too young. Oh, he was so handsome. He looked like Sean Connery, the actor. Yes," she continued. "Michael Goldstein was a wonderful person. If you should find him, tell him I think of him often. And," she hesitated for a moment, almost biting her lip, "tell him I still love him. You know," she said smiling as tears began to well up in her eyes, "I never did marry. I guess no one ever matched up to Michael..."
I thanked Hannah and said good-bye. I took the elevator to the first floor and as I stood by the door, the guard there asked, "Was the old lady able to help you?" I told him she had given me a lead. "At least I have a last name. But I think I'll let it go for a while. I spent almost the whole day trying to find the owner of this wallet." I had taken out the wallet, which was a simple brown leather case with red lacing on the side. When the guard saw it, he said, "Hey, wait a minute! That's Mr. Goldstein's wallet. I'd know it anywhere with that bright red lacing. He's always losing that wallet. I must have found it in the halls at least three times." "Who's Mr. Goldstein?" I asked as my hand began to shake. "He's one of the old timers on the 8th floor. That's Mike Goldstein's wallet for sure. He must have lost it on one of his walks."
I thanked the guard and quickly ran back to the nurse's office. I told her what the guard had said. We went back to the elevator and got on. I prayed that Mr. Goldstein would be up. On the eighth floor, the floor nurse said, "I think he's still in the day room. He likes to read at night. He's a darling old man." We went to the only room that had any lights on and there was a man reading a book. The nurse went over to him and asked if he had lost his wallet, "This kind gentleman found a wallet and we wondered if it could be yours?" Mr. Goldstein looked up with surprise, put his hand in his back pocket and said, "Oh, it is missing!" I handed Mr. Goldstein the wallet and the second he saw it, he smiled with relief and said, "Yes, that's it! It must have dropped out of my pocket this afternoon. I want to give you a reward." "No, thank you," I said. "But I have to tell you something. I read the letter in the hope of finding out who owned the wallet." The smile on his face suddenly disappeared. "You read that letter?"
"Not only did I read it, I think I know where Hannah is." He suddenly grew pale. "Hannah? You know where she is? How is she? Is she still as pretty as she was? Please, please tell me," he begged. "She's fine...just as pretty as when you knew her." I said softly. The old man smiled with anticipation and asked, "Could you tell me where she is? I want to call her tomorrow." He grabbed my hand and said, "You know something, mister, I was so in love with that girl that when that letter came, my life literally ended. I never married. I guess I've always loved her. "
"Mr. Goldstein," I said, "come with me." We took the elevator down to the third floor. The hallways were darkened and only one or two little night-lights lit our way to the day room where Hannah was sitting alone watching the television. The nurse walked over to her. "Hannah," she said softly, pointing to Michael, who was waiting with me in the doorway. "Do you know this man?" She adjusted her glasses, looked for a moment, but didn't say a word. Michael said softly, almost in a whisper, "Hannah, it's Michael. Do you remember me?" She gasped, "Michael! I don't believe it! Michael! It's you! My Michael!" He walked slowly towards her and they embraced. The nurse and I left with tears streaming down our faces.
About three weeks later I got a call at my office from the nursing home. "Can you break away on Sunday to attend a wedding? Michael and Hannah are going to tie the knot!" It was a beautiful wedding with all the people at the nursing home dressed up to join in the celebration. Hannah wore a light beige dress and looked beautiful. Michael wore a dark blue suit and stood tall. They made me their best man. The hospital gave them their own room and if you ever wanted to see a 76-year-old bride and a 79-year-old groom acting like two teenagers, you had to see this couple. A perfect ending for a love affair that had lasted nearly 60 years.

Military: A beautiful true love story
One day, a young guy and a young girl fell in love.
But the guy came from a poor family. The girl’s parents weren’t too happy.
So the young man decided not only to court the girl but to court her parents as well. In time, the parents saw that he was a good man and was worthy of their daughter’s hand.
But there was another problem: The man was a soldier. Soon, war broke out and he was being sent overseas for a year. The week before he left, the man knelt on his knee and asked his lady love, “Will you marry me?” She wiped a tear, said yes, and they were engaged. They agreed that when he got back in one year, they would get married.
But tragedy struck. A few days after he left, the girl had a major vehicular accident. It was a head-on collision.
When she woke up in the hospital, she saw her father and mother crying. Immediately, she knew there was something wrong.
She later found out that she suffered brain injury. The part of her brain that controlled her face muscles was damaged. Her once lovely face was now disfigured. She cried as she saw herself in the mirror. “Yesterday, I was beautiful. Today, I’m a monster.” Her body was also covered with so many ugly wounds.
Right there and then, she decided to release her fiancé from their promise. She knew he wouldn’t want her anymore. She would forget about him and never see him again.
For one year, the soldier wrote many letters—but she wouldn’t answer. He phoned her many times but she wouldn’t return her calls.
But after one year, the mother walked into her room and announced, “He’s back from the war.”
The girl shouted, “No! Please don’t tell him about me. Don’t tell him I’m here!”
The mother said, “He’s getting married,” and handed her a wedding invitation.
The girl’s heart sank. She knew she still loved him—but she had to forget him now.
With great sadness, she opened the wedding invitation.
And then she saw her name on it!
Confused, she asked, “What is this?”
That was when the young man entered her room with a bouquet of flowers. He knelt beside her and asked, “Will you marry me?”
The girl covered her face with her hands and said, “I’m ugly!”
The man said, “Without your permission, your mother sent me your photos. When I saw your photos, I realized that nothing has changed. You’re still the person I fell in love. You’re still as beautiful as ever. Because I love you!”

My mother's 8 lies.
This story begins when I was a child: I was born poor. Often we hadn’t enough to eat. Whenever we had some food, Mother often gave me her portion of rice.
While she was transferring her rice into my bowl, she would say “Eat this rice, son! I’m not hungry.” This was Mother’s First Lie. As I grew, Mother gave up her spare time to fish in a river near our house; she hoped that from the fish she caught, she could give me a little bit more nutritious food for my growth. Once she had caught just two fish, she would make fish soup.
While I was eating the soup, mother would sit beside me and eat what was still left on the bone of the fish I had eaten; my heart was touched when I saw it. Once I gave the other fish to her on my chopstick but she immediately refused it and said, “Eat this fish, son! I don’t really like fish.” This was Mother’s Second Lie.
Then, in order to fund my education, Mother went to a Match Factory to bring home some used matchboxes, which she filled with fresh matchsticks. This helped her get some money to cover our needs. One wintry night I awoke to find Mother filling the matchboxes by candlelight. So I said, “Mother, go to sleep; it’s late: you can continue working tomorrow morning.” Mother smiled and said “Go to sleep, son! I’m not tired.” This was Mother’s Third Lie.
When I had to sit my Final Examination, Mother accompanied me. After dawn, Mother waited for me for hours in the heat of the sun. When the bell rang, I ran to meet her. Mother embraced me and poured me a glass of tea that she had prepared in a thermos. The tea was not as strong as my Mother’s love, Seeing Mother covered with perspiration; I at once gave her my glass and asked her to drink too. Mother said “Drink, son! I’m not thirsty!” This was Mother’s Fourth Lie.
After Father’s death, Mother had to play the role of a single parent. She held on to her former job; she had to fund our needs alone. Our family’s life was more complicated. We suffered from starvation. Seeing our family’s condition worsening, my kind Uncle who lived near my house came to help us solve our problems big and small. Our other neighbors saw that we were poverty stricken so they often advised my mother to marry again. But Mother refused to remarry saying “I don’t need love.” This was Mother’s Fifth Lie.
After I had finished my studies and gotten a job, it was time for my old Mother to retire but she carried on going to the market every morning just to sell a few vegetables. I kept sending her money but she was steadfast and even sent the money back to me. She said, “I have enough money.” That was
Mother’s Sixth Lie.
I continued my part-time studies for my Master’s Degree. Funded by the American Corporation for which I worked, I succeeded in my studies. With a big jump in my salary, I decided to bring Mother to enjoy life in America but Mother didn’t want to bother her son; she said to me “I’m not used to high living.” That was Mother’s Seventh Lie.
In her dotage, Mother was attacked by cancer and had to be hospitalized. Now living far across the ocean, I went home to visit Mother who was bedridden after an operation. Mother tried to smile but I was heartbroken because she was so thin and feeble but Mother said, “Don’t cry, son! I’m not in pain.”
That was Mother’s Eighth Lie. Telling me this, her eighth lie, she died. YES, MOTHER WAS AN ANGEL!
*M – O – T – H – E – R *
*“M”* is for the Million things she gave me,
*“O”* means Only that she’s growing old,
*“T”* is for the Tears she shed to save me,
*“H”* is for her Heart of gold,
*“E”* is for her Eyes with love-light shining in them,
*“R”* means Right, and right she’ll always be.
Put them together, they spell* **“MOTHER”* a word that means the world to me.
For those of you who are lucky to be still blessed with your Mom’s presence on Earth, this story is beautiful. For those who aren’t so blessed, this is even more beautiful.

"The doll and the white roses"
I was walking around in a Big Bazar store making shopping, when I saw a Cashier talking to a boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old..
The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll. Then the little boy turned to me and asked: ''Uncle, are you sure I don't have enough money?''
I counted his cash and replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy the doll, my dear.'' The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.
Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to. 'It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much . I wanted to Gift her for her BIRTHDAY.
I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.' His eyes were so sad while saying this. 'My Sister has gone to be with God.. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister...''
My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said: 'I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.' Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me 'I want mommy to take my picture with her so my sister won't forget me.' 'I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.' Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly..
I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?''
'OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his with out him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
The little boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!'
Then he looked at me and added, 'I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give It to my sister. He heard me!'' 'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. My mommy loves white roses.'
I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind. Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy?
Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.. I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial. She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest. I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever...
The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.
Please DO NOT DRINK & DRIVE.
"Conversation of God and Me"
Me: God, can I ask You a question?
God: Sure
Me: Promise You won't get mad ... ... ... ...
God: I promise
Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?
God: What do u mean?
Me: Well, I woke up late
God: Yes
Me: My car took forever to start
God: Okay
Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait
God: Huummm
Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call
God: All right
Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?
God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one
of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that
Me (humbled): OH
GOD: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.
Me: (ashamed)
God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.
Me (embarrassed):Okay
God: Your phone went dead bcuz the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered.
Me (softly): I see God
God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark.
Me: I'm Sorry God
God: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me.... in All things , the Good & the bad.
Me: I will trust You.
God: And don't doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.
Me: I won't God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.
God: You're welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children...

" Paid in full with one glass of milk."
One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry.
He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water.
She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?" "You don't owe me anything," she replied "Mother has taught us never to accept payment for a kindness."
He said... "Then I thank you from my heart."
As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt; stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Years later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation.
When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room. Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her.
He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval.
He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for
it all. Finally, she looked, and something caught her attention on the side as she read these words...... " Paid in full with one glass of milk." (Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.
Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You, GOD, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands."
Sleepless Nights

'Whenever you need me whenever you want me you know you can call me, ill be there shortly' my cellphone blared Roll Up- Wiz Khalifa. Muttering over being woken up before 12 on a Saturday I answered the phone. It was my friend Josh asking me to crash a sophomore party with him later that night. Having recently broken up with my girlfriend after she cheated on me with my Australian Rugby billet in my house I was heartbroken and tired but reluctantly agreed. We arrived at this girl's party to see her parents giving everyone who approached the house the snake eye. Working our way towards the backyard we saw 16 year old guys with their shirts off and girls drinking and talks in groups. I was talking to my friend about how lame things were until somebody tapped me on my shoulder. I turned around and started into the eyes of the most beautiful girl I have ever laid eyes on. Her hair was done in long flowing locks. Her eyes were like looking into a tranquil forest of evergreens and feeling at peace. Her name was Monika I'd seen her around school but had only talked to her once previous to this. She said 'Hey!' in a over energetic tone. I noticed a Cold Play T-shirt realizing that their concert was that very night. She then asked me about school since I had recently transferred back. I replied back with questions about the concert and we talked for a good hour until she had to go home and I had to drive my friend back.
After dropping my friend off at his apartment I started heading home. I was pondering if I've met a girl in my life that I would hold that kind of significance over. To have a girl that would love me as much as I love her. After parking my car and stumbling up the steps to my house in exhaustion I immediately headed to my to sleep. Leaving my phone on like I always do I was awoken 30 mins later with a message on Facebook. I immediately assume its Josh telling me he forgot something in my car but to my surprise it was Monika! She starts talking to me about how much fun she had at the concert and I replied back with how’s life how are your friend’s etc. Stuff to get to know her better. She then responds to me with details concerning being bullied at school. I was thinking to myself how is the most beautiful girl I have ever met getting bullied by girls in not only in her grade but in my grade (Being a Senior at the time) she talked to me about her Dreams of being a doctor how a girl hates her because her boyfriend talks to her all the time and tons of deep details about her life. Eventually she gets tired but thanks me for listening to all her drama she logs off Facebook and goes to bed and leaves me there laying on my bed wondering about what happened. I laid there for solid 2 hrs thinking about the things we talked about and eventually fell asleep.
Days later I get another face book message from her about getting bullied by one of my friends. I immediately confront my friend and talk to her about it and resolve things and after cheering her up she tells me she really likes me and a crush develops on my end. I woke up one early Monday morning in April and arrive at school to find out that our Prom date forms had to be in by the end of the week! Not wanting to go stag I quickly raced around asking all my friends who had dates and who didn't have dates. After finding all the Senior Girls had dating and not knowing any of the Junior Girls I started thinking about sophomore girls. Then it hit me ask Monika! My friends after hearing rumors about her advised me not to and ask this other girl. The other girl was blonde haired blue eyes a very very beautiful girl who eventually said she'd go with me if I asked. But the only girl on my mind was Monika. One night I message her asking to see her at lunch the following day she freaks out asking if she's done anything wrong or if she’s offended me in any way, which I reply with no. I found it extremely cute the way she cared. The next day at lunch my heart was pounding in my chest working up the guts to go talk to I go up to her table where her and her friends were sitting and get her alone and ask her 'Monika would you like to go to grad with me' which she replied with 'I thought you were going to beat me up or something I’d love to be your date!' barely able to contain my excitement I strutted to my next class and proceeded to message her that night. She was very excited being her first prom she promised to be the best date ever, which I was sure she was going to be and we agreed to hangout a few times before then to get to know each other better. We agree on a Starbucks date and I pick up at lunch and take her to a local Starbucks from the time she's in the car until were in the coffee shop she would not stop talking and I loved it. She didn't allow for a single awkward moment I learned tons about her she learned tons about me and I enjoyed every minute of it. The cashier at Starbucks asked for her name and she replied with 'Monika with a K' I smiled and felt a feeling I had never felt before it was love. I return her to school and finish up my last class and head home. Prom quickly approaches and I drive over to her house to pick her up. I call her and she leaves her house in a stunning white dress looking like the most beautiful girl on the planet.
Driving her to my house for Pre-Prom she meets my mother and they immediately become best friends. We head over to Prom and sit down the guest speakers give their speeches about how were the best grad classes ever etc etc etc. Then the dancing starts. Usually an awkward guy who wouldn't be caught dead dancing with his mother like any other 18 year old boy Monika quickly grabbed my hand and told my mom lets go dance which she agreed and were immediately on the dance floor having the times of our lives. I remember dancing and looking into her eyes and seeing that smile of hers and just melting. Thinking for one of the few times in my life absolutely everything is okay right now. Dancing with my mom and my prom date and I don't feel shy i feel great. The dancing ends and we prepare ourselves for After-Prom. I change into my after-prom wear and wait outside her change room for her to get ready. She comes out and we proceed to the buses where we sit together on the way there. She asks me a question none of my previous girlfriend had ever asked me 'Why wasn't your dad there'. This was a sort of hurtful question considering my father had left when I was 14 after physically and mentally abusing me for years he went off and got remarried and didn't keep in contact. I had never told anyone this before but for some reason I told her and nearly crying I looked into her eyes and she looked into mine and I swear it was nearly a picture perfect moment to have a perfect kiss. But with tons of people on the bus I didn't want to have any PDA or anything especially because I didn't want to ruin After-Prom in case something went wrong. She proceeded to comfort me and I felt like I could talk to her about anything. She told me things she hasn't told a soul in her life and i felt comforted and felt like I had a special bond with her and I knew at that very moment I loved this girl I loved Monika. Arriving at After-Prom we departed the buses into a giant prop warehouse where it was hosted. There was an area to dance an area to play poker and other games an area outside to walk around and the inside prop section to sit and well I don't know why we had our After-Prom in a prop warehouse so i couldn't tell you the intended purpose. The two of us ate and then she asked to be able to spend some time with a friend of hers before we went into the photo booth I agreed and spent some time with my friends. An 1 hr later she wasn't back and people began to ask where my date was. Looking around i found her being hit on by one of my best friends. Being distraught over the whole situation I sit down and try to recollect my thoughts. She wanders over after a while and asks how I am. I said uh okay I guess she responds with. ‘Were you shut down by any girls or something'. In my mind all I was thinking was the only girl I want to be with is you. She wanders off again and I keep looking for her but to no avail. Being extremely bummed out about not being able to spend time with her I wait in line for the bus home with everyone else with my head down she asks what’s wrong and I respond with ill tell you later. Her facial expression immediately changes to one of concern until we eventually board the bus. On the bus she keeps asking me what’s wrong. Until she asks do you like me? And I respond with yes I really like you. She said 'Chris I like you to, But you’re going to College next year and I'm going to Europe over the summer I don't know if things will work' I immediately want to tell her how I feel right then and there but just couldn't after taking an emotional blow like that.
Driving her home I fell asleep tears in my eyes grasping the corsage she gave me dreaming about one day being with her. The next day I hosted the After-After-Prom party in which she was invited. I have 100+ people over at my house with a few of my close friends sleeping over to help me keep the place clean and tidy. I text her to see if she's coming. She replies with yes. I look around all night for her but see her once where she only says 'Hi'. I texted her and asked her if I could speak with her so I could finally tell her how I feel she says I'm talking with someone else and I reply but i really want to talk to you she responded back with a smiley face. She eventually leaves without saying a word. I go downstairs clean the house and after my friends fall asleep drown myself with my own tears. A week later she goes to Europe for the summer and I try my best to get over her. I tried going to parties and meeting other girls but the only girl I wanted to be with was Monika. I prayed to God, The Universe and anyone would who listen to please please let her feel the same way i felt about her. 1 month later I get an inbox from her. She asks with about my summer in which I reply with alright she immediately asks me when I'm leaving for College ignoring my questions about her trip. I give her the date and she said I really want to see you before I get back. My heart thumps and I feel a sensation that everything is going to work out. Summer days soon fade away and the time to leave for College approaches. After not hearing for her 3 days before I am supposed to leave and I contact her to arrange my final chance to tell her how I feel before University. She responds with I’m really busy but ill do whatever it takes to see you before you go. We plan to meet up for breakfast the day I leave.
I wake up early at 6 am fill my car up with gas and drive to her house. I text/call her as instructed and don’t knock on her door as to not awake her sleeping parents or brother. I wait outside the house for an hour and a half and the rain dripping down the side of my car quickly turns to tears. With tears in my eyes I quickly depart her house and return to my house to grab my things and head to the airport. As I’m about to board the plane i get a text from her explaining her phone died and she's freaking out about how she slept in and she wished me the best of luck to me in College and kept apologizing over and over. Being a calm minded individual although it pained me to do it I accepted her apology and boarded the plane to Arizona. The first month I was at Uni I couldn't keep her off my mind. I was meeting 100's of new girls but I only wanted to be with Monika. Being in new environment new girls new friends new school I was scared and I missed the love of my life more than ever. Iv talked to her about 5-6 times since being at Uni for the past Month and a Half. I found out this week Monika has created a charity event and has enlisted my mom to help out with it. My own mother is spending more time with the girl of my dreams the love of my life then I am. I can't keep her off my mind. I have never told her how much I love her how I feel about her. And even though things look bleak at the bottom of my heart I feel everything is going to work out between us and will be together. My friends at Uni ask me why I sleep so much and to be honest I didn't have a response at first until I thought about it. I sleep because in my mind it's the only time I can be with her. It’s the only time I can hold Monika in my arms tell her I love her more than anything on this planet. As I write this heart broken, tired with tears flowing down my face about to embark in another lucid dream or beautiful nightmare depending on how you view things. I look back at the girl with the most beautiful smile that can make everything in life feel all right and I dream and I pray to be able to hold her in my arms and tell her I love her one day soon. God/Universe/ANYBODY please let Monika fall in love with me. Now i'm going to drift off into a world where we can be together that I hope one day very soon can be reality, although I haven't been able to say this in person I may as well start here and say Monika
I love you.
"Broken Hearted"
"Broken Hearted"
We met one summer while working in England. We were both from different countries but we decided to go to live in London together after the summer. I went there first. During the time we were apart we were talking every day. I knew that he was scared of new life, in new country, but he said that because of me he will try and he will come. We knew that if we don't start living at least in one country it will be impossible to stay together. So he bought a ticket to London, we were counting the days together, and the day before the flight I received a sms telling me that he's sorry but he cannot come.

We didn't talk after this because he disappeared and after a month he was engaged with another girl, a girl from his country. I am sure he was with her before but I don't understand how he can lie to me like this.It hurts. We saw each other next summer and he tried to come back to me. First he didn't talk with me. He was trying to avoid me, because he thought that I hate him, which I had reason to do but I couldn't. I made the first step and I talked with him because I needed some explanation. Well,I didn't received it. I knew about the girl and I felt really guilty because I still had feelings for him. We spent wonderful week just walking together and talking. It was even nicer than the previous year together. But it was forbidden. One day he told me "here is one more reason to hate me" that his girlfriend will come there. He said that he knows it will be hard for me and he knows that I hate him but even then I didn't hate him.
The girl came. We stopped seeing each other, but he always found a way to talk with me without her knowing. He said that he loves both of us but she is the easier choice. His parents like her, they will get married, so I just have to give up. The last day before I go home, he kissed me in front of everybody, with the risk that she may see us and he said that he doesn't believe it is the last time we see each other, maybe somewhere some time we will meet again. I know that with time I will forget him, I need new relationship, but I have problems with trusting people. I want to remain at least friend with him but it is impossible, it will always be something more.
For the good of his family, his girlfriend and him,I deleted him from everywhere and I leave him live his life. Now I am trying to do the same. Thank you for reading my story. I just needed to share my feelings.
What kind of friend are you?
What kind of friend are you?
I grew up in the city where supposedly people are busy. But, since I am funny kind of person, knows how to mingle to different people from low to high so, for me one of the main ingredients of friendship is about "Give and Take". I was in high school when I have so many friends. I was a member of youth ministry though they don't know my background they always sees me as funny, friendly and lovable. I felt like I was unlucky with my family but I am lucky with my friends. Always painted on my lips those smiles like I don't have any problems. And it's the most unforgettable moments for me. A circle of friends whose always there with each other, will understand you and will guide you.
But when I reach my college life. It changed because I met a friend whose gonna be there if she just needs you. (well, maybe that's' my interpretation of the story). At first, it was okay for me to treat her. But later on, I felt too unfair. She asked me out, we went to mall, we watch in theater, we ate dinner and my whole week allowance was ruined. She is the one who will be responsible for our one week foods. At first it was all okay. Until it lasted for a month then someone told me, (hey, your a one day millionaire. You treat your friend in just one day you suffered for the whole week). And I just felt like they were treating me like their maid since I cooked the rice and even washed our plates after we eat. When I am the one who gave her food I didn't treated her like that. I felt like I was obliged to do the task. Until one day, me and one of my co-housemates fight about it. He said like I don't have a debt of gratitude much worst when he said (dead hungry-don't know if this is the correct term). I felt like I was slapped on my face. And I thought he never knew why I don't have money during school time. And I just silently go out. I never spoke. And I said to myself I will be more wiser this time. So every time I receive my allowance no one knew. If I want to eat in a restaurant I didn't say to my friend. I don't want to be selfish but it seems that she is just using me. She asked me to go for window shopping without knowing even our fair I will be the one to pay. We eat at (you know for me is already expensive restaurant)but I will be the one to pay. If she don't have money we can share for the payment not only me who will pay since she is the one who asked me out. Maybe I understand it if it just happened once or twice but MANY times. I think its so unfair.
But I ignore this kind of thinking but I never told her again when I can get my allowance. So she is contented if I brought something to her. But it is not ended there cos I am the one who pays for her snacks and viand. She eats for free. She cant buy her food because she said she don't have enough money but she can load her phone everyday. But I still ignored it. I just simply think that she is not a good friend. She told me about her problems and I guide her. I helped her not only emotional even financial though I am only a student too like her. She was in deep trouble with her boyfriend and then her family. I never left her. I supported her.
Then here comes my problem. I faced it with my self. She never asked, she never helped and she knows my problem from other people. If she's a real friend she will asked me and comfort me. But its okay for me. Until such time that I am tired of trying to understand our situation. I treasure our moments but its seems she's not. Here comes one of my friend. We became close because I know how deal with her. I know that no one is perfect so I am trying to understand things. This time the situation is- she is the one who is always treating me BUT I never used to take without giving. So I worked to her shop. I did everything. Its very hard to be perfect, its hard to please anyone just to like you. And that time I don't have a choice because I will stop going to school so I decided to work as a part time. But I think it is not a part time since after my class I went home and start working again even at the early morning. It continue until I was successfully graduated from my degree. And because of our friendship I don't want to work to any company even I have low salary. For me, you only once see a friend who is always there for you. I wasted lots of opportunities but it was all okay. I always said that I can find if I want but I don't want to lose our friendships. I've got a one step higher to my degree. But instead of praising me, it turned out into bad because she think that I became someone who is not me. And our cold war started in a little thing. At first I just wanted her to think sometimes that not just because she's older than me she is always right. At first I ignored her but later on even my friends is also involved in our fight. My friends greeted her but she just say nothing as if sees nothing. Maybe I could understand that if it happened once but how many times with different people.
So I started to ignore her too. And it lasted to maybe a month. Then here comes the time that my 1st friend(the one that I mentioned at the top) and her talked about me. How I am so bad. Maybe I owe an apology to my 1st friend but not to her. I never tell her that my friends always telling me to find a good job, that there's an offer because I know she will take it negatively. She always has a bad comments to every person and I'm sick of it. She always think that people are always after to what she have. She never see how they helped her maybe not financially but rather in service.
Just because of her interpretation she was left by those person who is always there for her. Maybe I'm tired of trying to understand her attitude. One time I'm tempted to text her. But after 1 day my friend told me that she sent a message to my close friends telling them that I am dangerous, cannot be trusted, everything that is bad. I was like hit by a big stone. Despite all the things we shared she is just wasted because of her negative interpretation.
Maybe, she was afraid that I can recover immediately from my lost than to her. And they are the only friends that I got a lot of lesson about friendship. I'm still happy that my old friends came back. We had a lot of time to mingle now not like before that I am like in a cage. My time is very limit even when I laughed still calculated. I am free now but still sad because we separated in in a bad way.

Heart Touching Love Story
A Boy proposed his Girl-friend for Marriage..;
Girl: Tell me..; who do you love most in this world..?
Boy: You, of course!
Girl: what am I to you?
Boy: The boy thought for a moment and looked intently in her eyes and said
“You are missing part of my heart”.
She smiled, and she accepted his proposal.

After their wedding, the couple had a sweet and happy life for a while. However, the youthful couple began to drift apart due to the busy schedule of life and the never-ending worries of daily problems, their life became difficult.
All the challenges posed by the harsh realities of life began to drift away deir dreams and love for each other. The couple began to have more quarrels and each quarrel became make their relation more worst.
One day, after the quarrel, the girl ran out of the house.
At the opposite side of the road, she shouted,
”You don’t love me...!!!”
The boy hated her childishness and out of impulse, said,
"May be, it was a mistake for us to be together..!!!"
You were never the missing part of my ____!!!”
Suddenly, she turned quiet and stood there for a long, while She regretted what he said but words spoken cant be taken back.
With tears in her eyes, she went home to pack her things and Before leaving the house, she left a note for him..;
“If I’m really not the missing part of your love, let me go and search for some one who is..…
It is less painful this way… let us go on our separate ways and search for our own partners…!!”
Five years went by....
He never remarried but he had tried to find out about her life indirectly. She had left the country and was living her dreams.
He use to regret on what he did but never tried to bring her back. In the dark and lonely night, he lit his cigarette and felt the lingering ache in his heart. He couldn’t bring himself to admit that he was missing her.
One day, they finally met, At the airport, He was going away on a business trip. He saw her, She was standing there alone, with just the security door separating them.
She smiled at him gently.
Boy: How are you..?
Girl: I’m fine. How about you.., Have you found your heart’s missing part…?
Boy: No.
Girl: I’ll be flying to New York in the next flight.
Boy: I’ll be back in 2 weeks time. Give me a call when you are back, You know my number, Nothing has changed.
With a smile, she turned around and waved good-bye.
“Good-bye . . .”
Same evening he heard of a plane crash which was headed to New York. He tried to know about her and found that, She died.
Midnight... Once again, he lit his cigarette... And like before, he felt the lingering ache in his heart. He finally knew, she was that missing part that he had carelessly broken...!!!
"Sometimes, people say things out of moments of fury.
We take out our 99% frustrations at our loved ones, And even though we know that we ought to”think twice and act wisely”, we actually don’t do it. Things happen each day, many of which are beyond our control."
*Try not to hurt your loved once, because a moment of anger could b a lifetime punishment.*
